Breathtaking place - the best either of us had ever been to. The setting is beautiful, especially the beachfront restaurant, where you can watch the sun set over dinner. The staff are incredibly friendly and the attention to detail is fantastic (it's the kind of place where someone comes round with free ice creams while you're lounging by the pool). It's also great for physically active travellers, with a great gym and cycling trips, thai boxing classes and yoga all available.

The Layana is faultless. It has everything: the perfect location, beautiful pristine grounds & pools, lovely well appointed spacious rooms which are fully equipped with everything that you need & want. The staff are courteous, polite and go out of their way to make your stay perfect, nothing is too much trouble. The food is wonderful and so much choice particularly at breakfast! We went on two boat trips, one to do snorkelling and one to Koh Bu Bu, both of which were beautifully organised and hugely enjoyable. For us it was the perfect holiday - so relaxing in every way. The Layana more than deserves its 5 Star status. We cannot wait to return

We booked Layana because we wanted to visit a Thai Island but experience the “real” laid back Thailand and not areas like Phuket and Phi Phi that are now overrun with tourists. We also wanted to be able to easily leave the hotel and visit other local restaurants. Koh Lanta and Layana did NOT disappoint. Everything was amazing - from the speed boat transfer, to the friendly happy staff, to the chilled vibe around the pool. We felt SO refreshed. Being adults only also makes the hotel so quiet and relaxing and because it’s not a huge resort you also feel at home. We had the garden pavilion room (the cheapest), but it was still really big and clean and the bed was HUGE! Layana is a total gem on Long Beach - where the rest of the accommodation is much more basic, but also has bars…

The special attention to details is remarkable. making sure we can focus on relaxation and be able to enjoy everything the resort has to offer. it has started even before we arrived, when we had some trouble with our flight from Bangkok so instead of arriving at 14:20, we arrived 4 hours later. we still got a personal transfer with a smooth ride to the resort. The free shuttle from the Krabi airport to the resort has free water and Wi-Fi (a 2 hours drive). It is peaceful and quiet everywhere. The hotel has a less than 60 rooms, limiting the age to 18+. Without large groups, without kids and without big parties, a guest can expect to a very low volume level all day long. My girlfriend and I spent 7 nights here and we can honestly say it is an incredible place to stay!! We were welcomed off our private 'Layana' speedboat, onto the beach by staff who couldn't be more pleased to see us. They had ice cold drinks and flannels at the ready and took us to the bar area, where we were told our room was ready (early) and that all our luggage would be there. The trips they offered were incredible (we did 2 snorkelling trips) and they were hosted by 'Aum' and 'Bu' - Two really kid and helpful people who wanted to ensure their guests had a great day out! They are both a credit to the Layana and really great guys who always stopped to chat whenever they saw you around the hotel!
